What do you want your last words to be? Something brave: “Once more unto the breach!” from Shakespeare’s King Henry? Something romantic, such as the words John Wayne spoke to his wife just before he died, “Of course I know who you are, you’re my girl. I love you.” Or maybe something profound: Lawrence of Rome’s last words were, “This side’s done.”
For me, I just hope its not something like, “Wow honey, those pants are getting tight on you…”
The Gospels record seven things Jesus said while dying on the cross. We’re going to focus on four of them. Each one is brave, loving and profound, and has deep implications for your future and for your present.
This is a great time to invite some friends to church and introduce them to Jesus’ incredible courage, love and wisdom.
